Details on £825 Billion worth of contracts awarded by Government and associated agencies from 2001 onwards.
Public Procurement accounts for 38.5% of the UK’s total GDP, roughly £300 Billion a year. Most of this data is publicly available but scattered over 900 websites, we’ve made this much easier to consume by gathering all data relating to public contracts and Spend into a single product named ‘Public Procurement‘. All data within this product are mapped to categories and Company Numbers making it much easier to analyse and join.

Some awarded contracts are published without a value, where this is the case we have used the indicative tender value as the award value.
If a company wins a government contract they must adhere to strict payment terms with their suppliers to ensure everyone is being paid within the timelimits set by government.
- Big businesses must pay 95 per cent of their invoices in 60 days or run the risk of losing out on government contracts
- New rules came into force on September 1 2019
- Minister says industry must develop a culture of prompt payment to support small businesses
